Thanks to the initiative of our member Edgar Soldner the administration of the Berufgenossenschaftliche Unfallklinik
Frankfurt am Main
(aerial photo above) has declared continuous sponsorship for the Gerhard Küntscher Society by
changing the former office charged with a monthly rental fee of 80 Euros into a rentfree office. This office was
established by
Klaus Klemm, one of the founders of our society during the eighties of the last century. The office
accomodates many important documents of the early years of our Society and of the first years of clinical
development of interlocking nailing and of local antibiotic treatment with gentamycine beeds.

Edgar Soldner is member of our Society since 1982. He served as Secretary of our Society from 1999 to 2003. He
has now the position of the medical vice-director of the Berufgenossenschaftliche Unfallklinik Frankfurt am Main where
Klaus Klemm and
Wulf-Dieter Schellmann have elaborated the method of interlocking nailing in the early seventies.
